preparation
An electric mixer, a thermometer, a drip funnel and a condensing tube are respectively installed on a 250mL four-port flask. A calcium chloride drying pipe is installed on the upper end of the condensing pipe, and the latter is connected with a hydrogen chloride gas absorption device. 39g (0.5mol) anhydrous benzene and 40g (0.3mol) ground anhydrous aluminum chloride were added into four bottles, and 25g (0.25mol) acetic anhydride was added under agitation. At this time, cool the four bottles with cold water and add acetic anhydride for about 30min. In order to complete the reaction, after adding the acetic anhydride. Heat at 70~80℃ for 45min. Once cooled, pour the reactant into 100 grams of ice water. If there is aluminum hydroxide precipitation, concentrated hydrochloric acid can be used to dissolve the precipitation, and then separated benzene layer. The aqueous layer was extracted with 30mL×2 benzene, all the benzene layer solution was combined, and then washed with 30mL water, 30mL 5% sodium hydroxide solution and 30mL water successively. The benzene layer was dried with anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The Acetophenone product was recovered by atmospheric distillation and collected at 199~203℃.
application
Used to make soap and cigarettes. It is also used as an intermediate in organic chemical synthesis, as a solvent for fiber resins and as a plasticizer for plastics. Used to prepare cherry, tomato, strawberry, apricot and other edible flavor, can also be used in tobacco flavor. The recommended dosage in the final flavored food is 0.6 to 20mg/kg.
When used as solvent, it has the characteristics of high boiling point, stability and pleasant smell. Similar to cyclohexanone in solubility, it can dissolve nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, vinyl resin, coumarone resin, alkyd resin, glycerol alkyd resin, etc. It is often mixed with ethanol, ketone, ester and other solvents.
Operational disposal and storage
Operation precautions: closed operation, local exhaust air. Operators must be specially trained and strictly abide by operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter dustproof masks, chemical safety protective glasses, anti-gas permeating work clothes, and rubber oil-resistant gloves. Keep away from fire, heat source, no smoking in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Avoid contact with oxidants and acids. When handling, light loading and unloading should be done to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. An empty container may contain harmful residue.
Storage precautions: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. It should be stored separately from oxidizers and acids, and should not be mixed. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire equipment. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to contain leaks.
